Crews complete major construction work associated with the closure of the Willow Boulevard/A-Site Operable Unit.

Georgia-Pacific submits the 2012 Former Plainwell Impoundment and Plainwell No. 2 Dam Area Bank Conditions Monitoring Report to USEPA, and Georgia-Pacific and ARCADIS carry out agreed upon bank maintenance activities.

November 2012
Georgia-Pacific submits the Area 2 draft Supplemental Remedial Investigation Report and the draft Area 4 Supplemental Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Work Plan to USEPA.

October 2012
ARCADIS completes the soil and sediment sampling in Area 3 with oversight by representatives of USEPA and MDEQ.

Georgia-Pacific submits the Area 1 draft Feasibility Study Report to USEPA.

August 2012
Georgia-Pacific submits the revised final Area 1 Supplemental Remedial Investigation Report to USEPA; USEPA approves the report.

Georgia-Pacific, ARCADIS, USEPA, MDNR, MDEQ, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service participate in the annual site walk of the former Plainwell Impoundment and Plainwell No. 2 Dam Area to inspect restored river banks.

May 2012
USEPA approves the Area 3/Former Otsego Impoundment Supplemental Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Work Plan.

USEPA also approves a supplemental work plan for soil and sediment sampling activities in Area 2/Otsego City Impoundment, and Georgia-Pacific continues with the field work in Area 2.

Georgia-Pacific submits the draft Area 1 Alternatives Screening Technical Memorandum to USEPA.

March 2012
Georgia-Pacific submits the revised draft Area 3/Former Otsego Impoundment Supplemental Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Work Plan to USEPA.

February 2012
Georgia-Pacific submits the revised draft Area 1 Supplemental Remedial Investigation report to USEPA. The report includes updates to the Area 1 Terrestrial Baseline Ecological Risk Assessment and the updated assessment of risks to people who consume fish.
